Superintendent Search

Online surveys have closed.   Thanks to all who participated for your time and your input.

Survey and input session outcomes will assist the Board of Education in vetting optimal Superintendent candidates, and in formulating interview questions to be used throughout the interview process.  The survey results will not be shared with the public during the duration of the search.  By this method, we will ensure an authentic assessment of each candidate's strengths, and potential fit for our District.

Thank you for your continued support!

Update May 24

The ARSD Board of Education is pleased to report that we have identified a finalist in our Superintendent Search.   Upon successful completion of contract negotiations and Executive County Superintendent approval of the contract, the Board will schedule a special public  meeting to appoint the next Superintendent of the Andover Regional School District.   We look forward to announcing the date of that meeting and to release our finalist's bio shortly.
Thank you for your continued support as we complete the final steps in the search process!

Update May 10:

The Andover Regional Board of Education met in Executive Session on May 1 to review all of the candidates' application packages.   Seven impressive candidates, who align with the expectations of the Board and our stakeholders, were selected for first-round interviews.   We anticipate three rounds of interviews, narrowing the number of candidates who advance through each round.  We look forward to providing you with further updates as we continue through the interview process.  Thank you for your support of the ARSD Board of Education in this crucial endeavor to find an exceptional leader for our District.

Fourteen candidates are currently serving as school principals, and three as assistant/vice principals.  One applicant is currently a School Business Administrator, and nine are currently serving as Directors in New Jersey public school districts. The five remaining candidates currently hold other professional positions in education.

Twenty candidates have earned doctoral degrees.

Thirty-six of the candidates reside in New Jersey.  One candidate resides and works in Pennsylvania; one resides and works in New York, and one candidate resides and works in Florida. **

The Board will review the application materials of all candidates in Executive Session during its meeting on May 1 to determine which candidates will be selected for first-round interviews.   We will continue to post updates on the Board's progress in the Superintendent Search as they become available.    ____________________________________________________________________________________
